Need a new surfboard? Are you buying your first surfboard or an all-around backup board? Looking for a different type of surfboard? down below we’ve simplified the process by taking away some of the guessing game when it comes to choosing board.
There are a few factors that come into play when choosing a surfboard. The first step to determine the right surfboard for your body type is to note down your weight and experience level. be honest with yourself when it comes to your experience. it’s not cool to have a small surfboard if you can’t capture any waves.
Most surfers fall into the first two of the following four categories: beginner, intermediate, advanced, and pro. As a rule of thumb, first-timers to the sport should get thicker and longer surfboards. Novice surfers need extra flotation and stability to paddle for the first waves and to help them stand up on the board after catching the wave. we have only included beginner and intermediate since advanced to pro surfer generally knows what they need and want.
However, a taller and heavier intermediate surfer will also need a slightly bigger board, compared with a shorter and lighter intermediate rider.
There are many different types of surfboards, each with its own characteristics and best uses. Here are a few common types of surfboards:
